Equipment Description: The HNS-9201 BGAN terminal that we rent supports Windows and Macintosh computers. For single user applications, no software other than a standard web browser is necessary as the BGAN can be controlled using a built-in web interface. Inmarsat LaunchPad software is available for multiple user applications. It weighs 5.5 lbs, offers data speeds up to 492 kbps up/down. Data access is available through Wi-Fi, an RJ-45 Ethernet port, and USB. A built-in router supports multiple-user applications (up to 11 simultaneous users). The rental kit comes in a Pelican case and includes an AC wall charger with international plug set, a DC car charger, an HNS Terminal Adapter with corded handset, ISDN cable, LAN cable, Launchpad and other software on USB thumb drive, and a user guide. You can preload between 100 units and 2500 units of usage on your BGAN account. Standard IP data (internet) consumes 9.1 unit per megabyte of data transferred. Voice calls to public switched phone numbers cost 1 unit per minute of call time. SMS (text) messages consume 0.5 units per SMS message. Voice calls to other satellite phones vary (see service contract). The prepaid usage is valid for the entire duration of your rental. You can reload additional usage if needed both online or over the phone.
*Customer understands that mountains, trees and other vertical obstructions can block signal at some locations within the coverage region. Seven (7) day minimum rental period required. The number of MB (megabyte of Standard IP data usage) in any given bundle is shown to the nearest 0.01 MB assuming the entire bundle was utilized in Standard IP data mode. Other types of usage such as voice calls have different consumption rates (see service agreement). The rental rate and prepaid usage charges quoted here do not include shipping costs, taxes, USF fees, and other fees which must be paid by the customer.
FedEx Priority Overnight delivers by 10:30 AM to most continental US addreseses, but delivery can be as late as 5:30 PM to some rural areas.
FedEx Saturday Delivery reaches most continental US addresses by 1:30 PM, but Saturday Delivery can be as late as 5:30 PM to some rural areas and Alaska or Hawaii, and morning delivery cannot be guaranteed. The customer is responsible to verify that Saturday Delivery is available in their desired ZIP code.
