The IsatPhone is a low-cost tough handheld satellite phone by Inmarsat. It offers voice, SMS texting, and 2400 data with nearly global coverage excluding the polar caps. The IsatPhone PRO includes built in GPS and if you are in trouble, you can send a GPS-enabled text or email message to a pre-configured list of friends by simply entering a short dial code. There are many optional accessories for the IsatPhone PRO including docking stations for indoor, vehicular or marine applications.

* The IsatPhone PRO is recommended for use inside the dashed gold contour line. Outside that region, the Inmarsat I-4 satellites used by the phone are below 20 degrees elevation above the horizon. Terrain masking can block the satellite signal even inside the 20 degree elevation contour line if you are near tall mountains, trees, or buildings. The battery performance stated above is based on typical performance at room temperature but actual performance can be affected by temperature, screen brightness setting, and other factors. |
